the beginning

Welcome to my weird little blog. I finally decided to bite the bullet and start a blog since I’ve been following (more like stalking/ lurking) other blogs and wishing I’d start my own. I first fell in love with blogging 2 years ago when I was planning my own wedding and I discovered the wonderful world of wedding blogs. Fast forward to today, I still like to look at wedding blogs but it’s just not the same anymore, my enthusiasm has dwindled and I no longer lose sleep over STD’s, MOH’s, MOG’s, MOB’s, and all those other ambiguous acronyms. I have a feeling…no scratch that, I KNOW this blog will be one large magical mish-mosh of random topics.

This quote hits especially close to home because I’ve lived my life according to my own terms and it hasn’t always been pretty, what matters now is that I’m trying really freaking hard  to be the best version of myself that I can be.

Cast of characters (some names may have been altered to protect identities):

Mayra: Me. Yes…that’s my real name.
S: The hubs, he is my rock, my soulmate, my best friend. He rocks my socks AND my world. We’ve been together for 6 years and married for 1.

Nate: Nathaniel, or Nathaniel Archibald if you’re feeling proper. He is my Christmas present from two years ago, he is full of awesome.
                                 

P: She is one of my besties and maid of honor at my wedding who just got engaged last weekend. 

Beck: My other bestie and one of my bridesmaids (should’ve been a maid of honor as well…but we were in an awkward phase). This girl is the cheese to my macaroni, we can laugh for days over nothing.

Boo #1: One of my baby sisters, she is the oldest of the set of twins. She is a smart little cookie and has the most genuine and caring heart.

Boo#2: The youngest of the twins and the family. She is creative, talented, funny, and makes me feel like a nerdy lame girl because she’s so cool and trendy.
